A Dynamic Partnership: Holy Land Tours

On November 7, 2024, National Headquarters hosted a gathering of officers and staff responsible for the annual Holy Land tours from the four USA territories and the Canada & Bermuda Territory. This meeting aimed to share program information and foster mutual understanding and support among the five territories.

The event was organized by Educational Opportunities, Inc., based in Lakeland, Florida. Leading the three-day conference were James Ridgway, President and CEO, and Mark Yeh, Director of Ministry Partnership. Since 1974, Educational Opportunities has been dedicated to providing quality Christian travel programs worldwide. Over its 50-year history, more than 400,000 Christians have embarked on faith-based tours through their programs. Educational Opportunities began organizing annual tours for Salvation Army officers in 1986 with the USA Eastern Territory and now manages these tours for all four USA territories and Canada.

The conference continued the following day with a VIP tour of the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC. Both Educational Opportunities and The Salvation Army have partnered with the Museum of the Bible in ministry. Officers participating in the annual Holy Land tours now receive a complimentary one-year subscription to the Museum of the Bible, which includes free entrance and online access to all MOB programs and resources.

The conference concluded with a visit to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
